ROCK ICONS
by A-CRITICART
For our anniversary we present a series of works inspired by Music.
The Arts Inn love not just for visual arts but also for music finds the perfect combination in A-criticArt's original portraits of legends of rock music.
In the larger works, called CALLIGRAMS, painting meets writing - visual representation combines with the lyrics of the songs of the greatest icons of pop music of all times.

Representing authors through their words enhances the illusion that our idol corresponds to the real persons. on whom we project love, envy, admiration and expectations.

We think we know our idols, but we only know what they have, more or less consciously, chosen to show us.

The other smaller works are realistic portraits of legends of rock and blues music such as Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin., and the Pixel portraits, that play on the brain's ability to recognize a face from a few essential elements, even without the details.
