"This figure nude was painted over six weeks. Whilst painting the nude you are constantly having to learn about anatomy, thinking a lot about proportion. The flow of light is also very important, as it is with all of the portraits I do. With a figure painting, it’s nice for the light to flow down the face and chest, dimming as you get down to the legs and feet."
